Based on a photo I took during an ascent of Mount Rainier in 2015, this is a section of the Ingraham glacier. The year I climbed was one of the most severe melt years in a long time, and the beautiful glacial ice was almost devoid of snow, the patterns and colors incredibly vibrant in the first light of dawn. If you look closely, you will find the silhouettes of two small mountaineers navigating the icefall.

Featured in Issue 67 of Alpinist magazine.

The original painting is a non-standard size (18"x30") which I will print on request. The sizes offered in the menu (standard print and frame sizes) will crop the image you see below slightly, but i believe it does not detract from the image.

Archival museum quality giclée print that replicates the colors of the original painting. Signed by hand. Flat rate five dollar shipping in the US.
